|
Apache
Ant
|
Apache Ant is a Java-based build
tool. It is extended using Java classes. Instead of writing shell
commands, the configuration files are XML-based, calling out a target
tree where various tasks get executed. Each task is run by an object
that implements a particular Task interface.

Gamma-Beck
|
JUnit
|
JUnit is a regression testing
framework written by Erich Gamma and Kent Beck. It is used by the
developer who implements unit tests in Java.

GAMESS
|
GAMESS is a program for ab
initio quantum chemistry. Briefly, GAMESS can compute SCF wavefunctions
ranging from RHF, ROHF, UHF, GVB, and MCSCF. Correlation corrections to
these SCF wavefunctions include Configuration Interaction, second order
perturbation theory, and Coupled-Cluster approaches, as well as the
Density Functional Theory approximation. Analytic gradients are
available, for automatic geometry optimization, transition state
searches, or reaction path following. Computation of the energy hessian
permits prediction of vibrational frequencies.

Nastran
|
NASTRAN is the industry standard
for analysis with new applications being discovered every day.
MI/NASTRAN can perform various analyses by using the Direct Matrix
Abstraction Programming (DMAP) feature. DMAP is used to define and
control the required sequence of matrix generation, assembly, and
processing operations. Users can choose to write their own solution
sequences using DMAP, or they can use the DMAP sequences available with
MI/NASTRAN.

Java
2 Enterprise Edition
|
The Java 2 Platform, Enterprise
Edition (J2EE) takes advantage of many features such as "Write Once,
Run Anywhere" portability, JDBC API for database access, CORBA
technology for interaction with existing enterprise resources, and a
security model that protects data even in internet applications. The
J2EE platform simplifies enterprise applications by basing them on
standardized, modular components, and by handling many details of
application behavior automatically, without complex programming.
